The Bank of Punjab is seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Data Strategy to lead enterprise-wide data initiatives across its operations in multiple cities of Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and other major business hubs. This senior leadership role is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support digital banking innovation, risk management, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.

As the Head of Data Strategy, you will define and execute the bank’s data vision, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory frameworks, and emerging financial technologies. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, IT, analytics, risk, and compliance teams to build a robust, secure, and scalable data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the enterprise data strategy aligned with the Bank of Punjab’s digital transformation goals.

• Lead data governance, data quality, metadata management, and master data initiatives.

• Oversee advanced analytics, business intelligence, AI, and machine learning use cases in banking.

• Ensure compliance with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations, data privacy laws, and internal risk policies.

• Drive data-driven decision-making across retail, corporate, Islamic, and digital banking segments.

• Manage cross-functional teams including data architects, data engineers, and analytics professionals.

• Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure data strategy effectiveness.

• Evaluate and adopt modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and banking data solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or digital strategy, preferably within banking or financial services.

• Proven leadership experience in enterprise-level data strategy or transformation roles.

• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.

• Experience with regulatory data reporting and financial risk analytics.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and strategic planning skills.
