Job Description – Senior Medical Officer (SMO)

Alkhidmat Raazi Hospital, Rawalpindi, is seeking a committed and skilled Senior Medical Officer (SMO) to join its medical team. The selected candidate will provide high-quality patient care, supervise junior medical staff, and ensure strict compliance with hospital policies and clinical standards.

In order to deliver complete healthcare services, the Senior Medical Officer will be crucial in patient diagnosis, treatment planning, emergency response, and consultant coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and care for patients in the emergency, inpatient, and outpatient departments.
• Provide prompt, correct medical care in accordance with hospital policies.
• Oversee and guide medical personnel, house officers, and junior physicians.
• Keep thorough and precise patient medical records.
• Collaborate with experts and consultants to provide superior patient care.
• Verify adherence to patient safety procedures, hospital policies, and ethical norms.
• Take part in emergency tasks, ward rounds, and clinical audits.
• Effectively communicate the treatment plan to patients and their families.

Eligibility Criteria

• MBBS degree from an organisation recognised by the PMDC or PMC.
• At least three to five years of clinical experience working as a medical officer or in a similar capacity.
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities.
• Capacity to perform under pressure in critical care and emergency scenarios.
• Outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills.
