About the Role

We are seeking a committed and skilled Infant Room Leader to mentor and encourage our youngest children at Little Wishes Early Learning Centre in Chermside, Brisbane, Queensland. For an early childhood professional with a strong background in curriculum design, team management, and providing infants with excellent learning opportunities, this leadership position is perfect.

As an infant room leader, you will take on the role of a careful planner and engineer, carefully designing developmentally appropriate programs that foster each child’s development in a cosy, secure, and stimulating setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the infant learning area in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Create, carry out, and assess educational initiatives as an early childhood learning strategic planner engineer.
• Encourage safe and courteous interactions with kids, families, and coworkers.
• Encourage, mentor, and direct teachers in the baby room.
• Uphold strict guidelines for wellbeing, safety, and health.
• Track, record, and evaluate kids’ growth and learning.
• Verify adherence to centre policies and National Quality Standards (NQS).

Essential Requirements

• Early Childhood Education and Care diploma or bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated expertise in a senior educator or room leadership position in an infant setting.
• Excellent communication, planning, and leadership abilities.
• Capacity for both creative and analytical thought as a curriculum planner engineer.
• A valid QLD Blue Card for working with children.
• Current certifications in asthma, anaphylaxis, CPR, and first aid.
